You may be going through your broken links report and finding a few URLs or even a whole domain that you're wanting to ignore from the analytics. We have a feature in the admin settings to do just that.
Go to:
- Admin Settings (in the bottom left)
- Then click on the Broken Links tab
In this section there are a few ways you can ignore links.
1. Review Suggested Links
This is where you can review links that general SWOOP users have sent to be ignored. In the 'Action' column you can either add it to the Ignored Links section or delete it, which will re-flag it in the dashboards. We recommend that if you delete it then you should reach out to the person who suggested the link (from in the 'Suggested By' column) to explain why.
When a link is added to the Suggested Links section it will be ignored in the dashboards for 3-months, after which it will be cycled back into the dashboards. So we recommend that as a SWOOP Admin, that you check this section quite frequently.
2. Ignored Links
Here you can review all links that are ignored from the dashboards and add more. If you ever want to delete a link from the ignored section you just need to click on the little rubbish bin in the 'Action' column. This will bring the link back into the dashboards.
To Add a New Link you need to click on the + Add New Link button in the top right. This will open a new window for you to add the link.
Link details:
Each link that you add must be one of the following formats: |
The following are NOT allowed: |
If you would like to whitelist a whole domain, use this format: https://www.example.com/*
When you have your link in there, click 'Save' and make sure you also click 'Apply Changes' in the top right.
3. Bulk Upload
You can also bulk upload a big list of links you'd like to ignore.
Click 'Bulk Upload' in the top right and then just paste in your links. Make sure each link is on a new line. The link details outlined in 2. Ignored Links still apply.
Make sure you click 'Add Links' and then 'Apply Changes'.
