There are two scenarios where SWOOP for M365 will not be able to show data. Both scenarios are related to situations where the M365 report option is set to 'anonymized'.
1. Anonymized reports after initial setup of SWOOP for M365
You may get a notification in SWOOP for M365 which says "SWOOP cannot find enough data to generate dashboard. This usually occurs if the miner is has not mined enough data yet.":
At the same time M365 Admin will then also have received an email notification say says: "We have detected a misconfiguration with SWOOP Analytics for M365."
See further below on 'How to Fix' this. Mining can only go back 28 days, so in order to keep SWOOP up to date, please resolve this as soon as possible.
2. Anonymized reports setting changed after SWOOP for M365 has been set up.
If the M365 usage reports have been made anonymous after SWOOP for M365 has been running, then the data-mining will simply stop.
See further below on 'How to Fix' this. Mining can only go back 28 days, so in order to keep SWOOP up to date, please resolve this as soon as possible.
How to fix
The M365 Admin will need to:
- Log into the Microsoft 365 Admin center
- Go to Settings -> Org Settings -> Services -> Reports
- Uncheck the check box labelled "In all reports, display de-identified names for users, groups, and sites".
