We've made over 50 updates during November, continuing with our focus on performance and we've added a much-requested addition to our SharePoint content reports.
Views in SWOOP for SharePoint
We've added in the total views on a page, news item or file, alongside the number of visitors and visits to give people a broad understanding of their content. Views are the "raw" count of the number of times the item is seen by a user regardless of whether they have seen it before. It is an indicator of activity but does not make a clear distinction if it is one person or many that see an item. To link an item back to people we use the visitor count to show the number of unique people that have seen an item at least once in the report period, and visits to show how many distinct sessions of intranet activity included at least one view. This means views will often be higher than visits as people can view a page several times during one intranet visit as they go back and forward through a page.
