Use of the Topics Dashboard in SWOOP has been the go-to place for insights when measuring the success of internal communications campaigns. Previously, the insights in the Topics Dashboard have been based on engagement with hashtags (and keywords if enabled on your SWOOP site).
Due to changes to the classification of topics and hashtags in Yammer, there has been a flow on effect to the way you analyse campaigns in SWOOP. After carrying out testing, we can confirm that SWOOP is only analysing topics as defined in the article linked above. Use of hashtags in the body of text eg. #SWOOPAnalytics are no longer reflected in the insights you see in SWOOP.
We understand this change will make it difficult to compare the engagement on campaigns where hashtags have been the source of measurement. Our engineers are currently in the process of finding a work around for SWOOP for Yammer customers so you can see the full scope of conversation centred around both topics and hashtags.
