In SWOOP for SharePoint, you will notice that some dashboards appear to be locked to a 30-day date range whereas for others you can change it. This article explains how this works.
Why some reports are locked to 30 days.
SWOOP for SharePoint is organized by a set of dashboards (Intranet, Site, Content and Audience), and each of these dashboards are split up into several tabs which are: Essentials, Health, Behaviour, Audience, Sites and Content. It is the combination of choosing a dashboard and a tab that allows you to see reports for a defined part of your intranet.
The Essentials and the Health tabs are locked to a 30-day date range. They will always show the last 30 days and you cannot change that. The reason is that both of these rely heavily on the health score which needs to be looking at the most recent period to be relevant.
How to see data for other date ranges
You can easily find reports about all the other things that don't rely on the health score which is why you can change the date range for all the other tabs (Behaviour, Audience, Sites and Content). If you want to find out how many people across various departments have accessed the intranet over the 6 months, you just to the Intranet dashboard, then click on the Audience tab, and from here change the date range to any of the pre-defined options or set it to a custom period.
