We've been busy through October and made over 70 updates to our products, from fixing small errors to new features and reports.
Perhaps the most significant update is the release of the SWOOP for SharePoint intranets Persona report. This shows how visitors are likely to be engaging with content in your intranet. You can get to know the SharePoint Personas in our support article.
In SWOOP for SharePoint intranets we've improved the way you can add words and links to be ignored in the quality checking. Adding items in the admin centre means they'll be excluded from the fix list report added last month and they won't be counted in the quality score.
Look out for further updates to the spelling and link management coming soon as we continue to improve this for users.
Here's all the major updates this month:
Update | Platform | Information | Updated |
Browser Activity report in SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've added a new report to show which browsers are being used to view content on your intranet, sites and pages. This includes those accessing content through the Teams app. |

Updated Spelling Dictionary in SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've updated the way you can add words to the dictionary used to check spelling in SWOOP for SharePoint. SWOOP Admins can access a spelling tab in the Admin Centre and add words directly to the dictionary. Any matching words will be excluded from the spelling errors meaning it's easier to add those organisational specific words. | Oct-23 |
Spelling and Link Settings now in the SWOOP admin centre for SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've moved the options for adding words and links that can be ignored for quality scoring and various fix lists to the Admin centre from the miner. This means you no longer need to be an Azure administrator to add words to the dictionary or ignore links from checking. If you are a SWOOP Admin you will find two new tabs in the Admin options for the link settings and spelling settings. | Oct-23 |
New Intranet Visitor Persona report now available in SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've added a new report to show the type of behaviour visitors to your content are showing. We split visitors up into Glancers, Scanners, Speed-readers, Readers and Campers based on the length of time they spend on a page and how this compares to the scanning, speed-reading and reading time estimates. | Oct-23 |
Adding Seen count to export in Most Engaging Posts in SWOOP for Viva Engage | Viva Engage | After adding the seen count to the most engaging posts report, we've updated the excel export option to show the details too | Oct-23 |
