We've been busy through September and made over 60 updates to our products, from fixing small errors to new reports.
In SWOOP for SharePoint intranets we've added a report under the Health tab that shows the broken links and spelling mistakes we've detected so you can find what you need to update on those pages. This expands the simple error count we have given previously and makes it easier for page editors to improve their page's health score by addressing things that impact the quality of the page.
We've also added a list of the pages visitors enter or exit on, and a report to give more detail to the time people spend on pages and how this compares to the estimated time to read a page.
Here's all the major updates this month:
Update | Platform | Information | Updated |
Improved size of Health Breakdown visuals in SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've increased the size of the graphics for the health breakdown scores to make it easier to read |

Pages with issue and things to fix include news items | SharePoint | We've made sure we've added news items to the pages with issues / things to fix reports and this is explained in the help for each report | Sep-23 |
Updated to compare feature in SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've updated the compare feature in SWOOP for SharePoint to limit the date to 30 days for the Essentials and Health tabs to reflect the limit that these dashboards have with data | Sep-23 |
Our new Visitor Time Distribution Report for SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've added a new report in our behaviour tab to show the distribution of the time visitors spend on your pages, sites and intranets. It will show you the range of times people spend on the pages, along with the median time, the most typical time range and how this compares to the estimated read time of the page (or average estimated read time for the site or intranet). It will help to show if most of your visitors are spending enough time to read content and if not, how far away they are from the read time | Sep-23 |
New Fix List Report in SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've listened to feedback and added a new report in the health tab to show the detail of which words are mis-spelt and which links are broken. You can search for a word or link and see which pages it appears on. There's also a link straight to the page so you can easily get to the page to fix the problem. | Sep-23 |
Added new APIs for SWOOP for SharePoint | SharePoint | We've set up the APIs for top pages, news, files and site reports, along with the health scores and general activity so you can bring these into your own reporting systems. | Sep-23 |
Enter and Exit pages report now available. | SharePoint | We've added a new report to SWOOP for SharePoint under the behaviour tab that shows which pages your visitors start on (entry) and which they visit last (exit). This report will help you understand which pages mark the start point of your visitors and what pages they leave on. Do those pages match what you are expecting visitors to do? | Sep-23 |
Adding Seen count to export in Most Engaging Posts in SWOOP for Viva Engage | Viva Engage | After adding the seen count to the most engaging posts report, we've updated the excel export option to show the details too | Sep-23 |
Updating our M365 collaboration habits calculations | M365 | We've updated the way we calculate our habit scores so we include those habits that are scoring zero because the tools are not being used by employees. We feel that if tools are available and not being used it represents a big gap in collaborative working and should be reflected in the scores. This may well lower your organisations scores, but we feel this more accurately reflects the opportunities for improvements | Sep-23 |
Better handling of adding a custom segment | All | We've made sure that our admin users can add a list of emails to create a custom segment and make sure you can update or replace it without having to change the name | Sep-23 |
Update to show SWOOP version | All | We've corrected an error so that the application version shows on the foot of the dashboards webpage to aid with support queries | Sep-23 |
Use Azure to control access to SWOOP | Viva Engage | We've added the capability to define access to SWOOP through Azure - see our support article for more details - https://support.swoopanalytics.com/hc/en-us/articles/19895994976665 | Sep-23 |
