The Team Growth report is most useful as an organisation launches Teams for the first time. Organisations have taken a variety of approaches to launching Teams. We have seen some organisations that initially only enabled Team Channels and not Calls, Chat and Meetings. Many others have led with Calls, Chat and Meetings (in essence the former Skype for Business functions). As Calls, Chat and Meetings are not associated with a given team, this report only applies to Team Channel activity.

For those organisations allowing staff to create Teams without any governance oversight, monitoring the level of inactive teams will become an important part of the Teams on-going governance process.
