How does SWOOP deal with private messages? (Viva Engage)

SWOOP will analyse meta-data (e.g. date) for all public and private messages. Depending on the context it will not include private messages.

A message is classified as private if it was:

1. Sent directly between two people (direct message not posted in a community)
2. Posted in a private community.

Private messages are included in the following calculations:

• High level usage statistics 
• User Activity
• Public/Private Messages
• Response Rate
• Two-Way Relationships
• Cross-Enterprise Collaboration
• Hot Topics

Messages posted in a private community will appear in the Most Engaging Posts report on the Community dashboard for the relevant community. It will also appear in the Most Engaging Posts report on the poster's Personal dashboard.

However, these private messages are excluded from the Most Engaging Posts reports on the Enterprise, Topic and Segment dashboards.
