How to get log data from the browser to help with trouble shooting

When you are asked by a SWOOP developer to provide browser logging information to help with  troubleshooting, please follow the steps below.

Step-by-step guide

Edge / Internet Explorer

1. Right-click and choose 'Inspect Element'
2. Click 'Console'
3. Open SWOOP
4. Right-click and choose 'Copy all'
5. Paste the log into an email, and send to your SWOOP developer.

Chrome

1. Right-click and choose 'Inspect'
2. Click 'Console'
3. Open SWOOP
4. Right-click and choose 'Save as'. Save the log file on your computer
5. Attach the file to an email, and send to your SWOOP developer.

Safari

1. Right-click and choose 'Inspect Element'
2. Click 'Console'
3. Open SWOOP
4. Click Command+A to select all entries in the log, then Command+C to copy the log file data
5. Paste the data into an email and send this to your SWOOP developer.

Firefox

1. Right-click and choose 'Inspect Element'
2. Click 'Console'
3. Open SWOOP
4. Right-click and choose 'Select all', the right-click and select 'Copy'
5. Paste the log into an email, and send to your SWOOP developer.
